That's a pretty good round outside the snowmen! What'd you normally shoot?Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 12:12 pm Just received my 60% chance of showers about an hr ago, which lasted about 49 seconds, lots of blue sky now, should be a good golfing day. The other day had my best score of the year ,an 89 at Belmont, even though I had 3 snowmen, but I did shoot 2 birdies which was a first for one round.

My best rounds so far 89,93,94,96,97, and a few at around 100 which I'd like to forget. I've shot 2 eagles in total before and the odd birdie but getting 2 in one round was pretty cool.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 8:57 pm That's a pretty good round outside the snowmen! If it wasn't for those snowmen I could have shot in the low 80's , but golf is full of coulda woulda shoulda's.

Coulda woulda shoulda indeed! And 2 in one round is truly rare for us weekend hacks.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:39 pm My best rounds so far 89,93,94,96,97, and a few at around 100 which I'd like to forget. Re: July 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Had one snowman and both birdies on the back nine for a 42 . Don't worry this is not a fish story where someone's 12 inch trout somehow turns into a
5 pounder.
Speaking of fishing I'll be trying some beach fishing for salmon at the mouth of the Capilano river which I haven't done for a long time , I used to slay the cohoes and Chinook down there back in the day,mid 80's, but I've heard that the fishing there hasn't been very good in recent years.

Re: July 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Had a very brief, big rain drops shower around 1am, not even enough to wet the deck.
My son 10 minutes away had thunder and downpour around 9 or so last night in Gibson's, he said it lasted for quite a while

Re: July 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
GFS could be overdoing things, but it shows ~11mm of rain tomorrow in Abbotsford and another ~11mm one of the days in August.

25C at 11am at YVR and EC just adjusted the high temp to 28. What's up with these last minute 'surprise' hot days recently? Sunday was one of them too!

Looks like YVR inched past the record high for today...28.4C as of 3pm. Previous record was 28.3C... pretty low for late July.
