That's much more concerning though for those who don't like the heat. While not perfect, the ECWMF is one of the most reliable models.

Keep the heat and dry spells coming!
Once September/October hits, it'll be back to clouds/cool/rain almost everyday for 8+ months.

Mazama climate is just like my cabin in the Simlkameens..but this climate is much colder than hereTypeing3 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 5:03 pm Nice summer climate, but definitely not enough yearly precip.
Prefer Mediterranean precip patterns, like we have here. Would be nice if it was more extreme with plentiful precip during the cool months and dry during the warm months coupled with a continental climate-like temps. Adding a couple degrees to summer temps and subtracting a couple degrees from winter temps it would look something like this actually: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazama,_W ... on#Climate
January 2025 incoming..looks like more Pineapples..Happy New Year!

Re: August 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Your cabin is between Princeton and Merritt, no? Same region so I'd guess temps there year-round are fairly comparable with Mazama.
Climate is much colder than here in the winter and much warmer in the summer. With precip almost completely concentrated between Oct and Apr, that'd be the perfect climate imo. Something close to this, perhaps: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stehekin,_Washington

Stehekin is a beautiful place. Been there once, about 30 years ago, would be nice to return some time.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 8:25 pm Your cabin is between Princeton and Merritt, no? Same region so I'd guess temps there year-round are fairly comparable with Mazama.

Pretty good thunderstorm outbreak in the Willamette Valley right now. Been following the reports on the American forum. It’s working its way north, so hopefully it makes it here.
