Pretty decent storm here... lots of lightning and very heavy rain for a brief while.
I ended up with 33.6 mm up to midnight.

Thunderstorm was brief. Still getting some lightning, but rain has mostly stopped. I picked up an additional 10.1 mm though, which is impressive given that it didn't last long.
Last night's t-storm was very impressive at my place... Lots of lightening, but in the wee hours the flash, and a HUGE thunderous crash happened literally simultaneously - must have been right over my place
A cell passed over Mission and Agassiz about 30-50min ago and it had some rotation in it. Not always indicative of tornadic activity but meso cyclonic feature showing how unstable the atmosphere is right now.

Models are much drier for the weekend compared to a couple days ago. The jet stream moves north pushed by a building ridge. North and central coast are going to get the heavy rain. Temps building mid week for the South coast. Weather.com has 26c inland for Wednesday. What a way to end Spetmeber! Atmospheric river than a mini heat wave.
