I'm checking my script.

Moisture arrives too late. Surface temps are a touch too warm. Airmass gradually moderates. Southerly winds. Temps warm up to +12C. Mild rain.

Maybe a snowflake or two everywhere else. Nothing to worry about IMO.

That and an unusually strong ridge.

:dancepine:  :dancepine:

Still waiting for the development of a strong Greenland block. This either lock us into a lengthy spell of :dancepine: and torch the entire nation or lead to the formation of a massive ridge while dropping the hammer out east.

No white christmas for anyone.

Look at the :dancepine: for the North Coast!

:alert: :alert: :alert: Models are trending snowier as we get closer to the event.

2-5cm in the LM. See signatures of a Fraser Outflow.
Monty could get 10-15cm.

All ECMWF ensemble members now calling for snow this weekend at YVR. GFS not so enthusiastic, but I would much rather have the the support of the former than the latter if I must choose just one.

Note that the grid point for the Euro is higher and inland compared to that for the GFS. Considering this is a marginal setup, that probably does a lot to explain the difference. MBY is both higher and further inland yet, which bodes well for my chances.
