What about Dec/17 Thead? I know we did in Mission.
Yeah we did in Dec '17 as well.
Overall, winter '16-17 (most persistently chilly winter across our region since '92-93) was leagues better than '17-18 though. Even though the latter was a fairly decent winter.

Only 11mm so far today in south Sardis lame.
Was pouring all day here. Storm totals of 53mm at Burke mtn. They were calling for up to 150mm but that's by the end of the AR on Sunday. Looks like the front has weakened and stalled but should get re-energized as the parent low moves closer.

Yes agreed however l felt January/17 kinda blew a tire as the month went on.
Didn't we transition out of a chilly pattern with one of our inversion patterns which blew any chance of a region wide snow event.
I recall too much El Nito's favorite warm air aloft.
I do recall Wintergirl in Squamish scored.

Rainfall warning still up for here. It's rained pretty much all day, some of it heavy, other times just a sprinkle. I'll check the total in my rain gauge bucket later tonight.
Sardine, if you need more water I'll be happy to send all of tomorrow's your way, we've got enough here now.

Yeah the first two weeks of Jan 2017 were chilly overall with widespread snowcover across the mainland, mostly from prior snowfalls in December (New year's Eve snowstorm being the most recent one).
There were a couple precip events but it was a tad too warm for most of us (3-5c). I think the valley got a bit of snow and freezing rain.
Mid-month we finally warmed up with a fairly mundane AR event that melted most of the snow, other than where it was piled up. Rest of the month was cool and alternated between showers and some dry days before temps dipped once again in the first week of Feb with a prolonged snowstorm.
