Those evacuation orders are getting bigger. One of the orders hugs the outskirts of South Salmon Arm! :o

I found another dead bird in the yard. Third this month already... :thumbdown:

And people wonder why I like rain and AR events. The air always smells fresh and the land turns lush green when precip is falling. I dread summers with the dust, death and smoke.

Raining here!!! First time since summer started. It's been coming down for about 10 minutes lightly but steadily and the deck is actually wet!

Yup. I'll take rain over this garbage every single time.

Not to mention the effects of heat and drought are more destructive and deadly over a wider area than a single rain event, cold snap, etc. Especially when you account for the seasonality of spikes in death. Just look at the ramifications of our last heat wave locally.

Edited to add: This is not to admonish anyone for their personal preferences. Having a preference for one outcome over another has no control or impact on what will transpire.
