Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Yes GFS. I'm sure we will end up with 36 inches of snow or whatever it says now. Just insane.
Glad to see a nice GEM run. The GEFS actually looked solid too in the mid range.

Wow. -EPO, tilted GOA ridge, SE ridge. Suddenly major pieces are coming together on an ensemble run. GEPS still not there yet but it's thinking about it.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Definite cold signal. The Pacific is shutting down with a broad block developing.
It might be chilly to start but the pieces are starting to come together that show a pattern shift. Looks similar to December 2008 rather than 2007 based on some of the ensemble runs.

Saturday's system looks like December 22, 2020 on some runs. There is some colder air to work with on the Northern side of it.

Progression looks similar to Dec 1971 based on some runs.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 10:13 am Definite cold signal. The Pacific is shutting down with a broad block developing.

Unfortunately that station does not separate rainfall and snowfall.
The airport recorded 862.1mm of rain and 47.1cm of snow for a total of 914.0mm of precip in the month.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
It would only make sense for us to get buried in snow this year right? Catnip says somethings brewing and GFS says it go time! Nito has jumped onto #TeamSnow as well. Snow starting around Dec 10 and going into Christmas would be a nice score for once
