Thunder started rumbling in the distance about half an hour ago, now it's overhead! I was outside enjoying the surround sound effect as it echoed through the clouds until there was a very loud bang overhead...time to go inside!

Rain coming down now big drops.

First ever Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Vancouver Island as per Tyler, we have one too, probably the first for us too.

After missing out last night it may get a little too exciting today.

wow! That one was close! :storm: Saw the lightning and then the boom! Rain is coming down, it's intense. House just shook.

15 years ago a house was hit about 2 minutes away, takes some of the fun away.

Looks like we're done for now. Sky has cleared and not much showing on the radar. Power stayed on, Yay! Would have liked to see some hail though.

Cold NE winds have started here.
Too dry.

Oops. I'm reading off the winter script.
 We reached a high of 24c @ the pond in south Sardis, we had at least 45 minutes of decent thunder and lightning in the central valley last night. l was surprised l could also see distant flashes to my west Abby/Mission corridor flashes were basically in all directions at times.
