Next week is looking like we could see many uncomfortable nights.

Re: July 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
12z ensembles showing precip over the next couple weeks below showing a fairly typical summer pattern. Despite the weeklong dry spell being broken in the past few days with the light showers, it's looking likely we could go at least 2 weeks without precip across the lower mainland starting tomorrow. ~3-6 week dry spell is what we typically see every summer.

Re: July 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Yes l saw Scoops ice cream and Surfs fish and chips food trucks. It's a very relaxing stroll down by the marina. Not sure about the Church St. Bakery Gumps but the Donut Shop at the Harbour Quay in Port Alberni claims to have the best donuts on the island. I must admit the cream puff was absolutely delicious.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 12:36 pm Are the food trucks still there at Marina Park? Nearby Blackfin Pub good place to eat too. Good donuts to be had at Church st. Bakery. And I just read that Love’s Ice Cream in Cumberland is one of the best in BC.
Hopefully temps get up to at least 20-21° later today and tomorrow, having back to back bbq's, and that's a Fact Jack .
We did indeed stop in at the Blackfin Pub l had their Seafood Chowder and Bacon wrapped Scallops plus a bevy to boot. It's a gorgeous evening in the Comox valley and my cell says 18c.
When are you heading up here Gumps? it appears you'll have some outstanding summer weather.

So far EC has it cooling down at night to 14c from highs of 26c. As long as it does that it's not too bad imo. I can cool the house down and reset for the next day. I'm sure it will change as we get closer.

Re: July 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
A rainy day but it cleared in the evening.
High in Sechelt of 18.0 c. A bit cool for July. Currently 15.5c and I'll post this right away before it drops further.
I wish the EC historical would give the lowest high, I'd be interested to see how this stacks up. All it gives is the lowest low and the highest high. Lowest low was 9.7c in 2017.

Re: July 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Jolly good show there ole chap. We're going there next Thurs for a week. On way there will stop at parksville to visit some friends who just moved there a cupla yrs ago and Coombs goats on roof marketplace on the way back. And in between plans so far, beach salmon fishing near singing pass road(north comox) and Cambell river pier , beautiful Saratoga beach, stunning Nymph falls , Seal Bay nature park, Marina Park/Blackfin pub, Cumberland, Comox lake, Mount Washington..SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 9:20 pm Yes l saw Scoops ice cream and Surfs fish and chips food trucks. I'm always on the lookout for good, maybe even unique donuts , you got me intrigued now about port alberni donuts, should I make a special trip? Also on the hunt for nice and creamy ice cream, I'll have to try that ice cream shop in Cumberland and see if it's as good as Banters in Abbotsford(my favourite), the Earl Gray flavour is outta this world.
