I think we're locking in for 2 weeks of solid smokiness. We were lucky up until now but as with 2017 and 2018 our luck runs out.

Might run down to Can tire and grab an air purifier and get some N95s. I really don't want the headaches and malaise that those particles give you this time.

A few years ago we had to replace our furnace and decided to put in central air at the same time. A lot of friends and family kinda made fun of us, but I would do it again every single time.

Pretty grim looking models for the interior fire situation after the showers pass. Those pulses of energy sliding down the eastern periphery of the ridge look like dry cold fronts. Gusty winds with little to no rain and a chance for thunderstorms. Hopefully the rain tomorrow overperforms

The pattern has dry east wind event written all over it unfortunately. Hope tomorrow bears fruitful for the interior.

This will be the time it's wrong. Never bet against the euro unless it's on your side.

The one saving grace is that we are going to see high level smoke from Siberia get trapped in that developing ridge and low level smoke from the Interior choke us next week, keeping the temps near 30C rather than 40C. I have a feeling we will not see "blue" sky until October.

I was hoping for rain, even avoided watering the tomatoes but it was a bust.

was also rather muggy last night, we dipped slightly below 20C but not for long.
