Any ideas which will be the go to model this fall/winter last year was so stupid I couldn't believe any models until Feb. when the EPS and those came through.

Began raining around 11:45 and heard a few claps of thunder just past midnight. It's been raining steadily since then.

Also looks like the models nailed this one for the west island. GFS was steadfast on a widespread 50-100mm

Already stopped raining in Coquitlam. Looks like the front moved on through fast and as a result the rainfall totals over the metro Vancouver area were less than forecast. The front had stalled yesterday giving those crazy totals to some areas on Vancouver Island.

Agreed. I was optimistically looking forward to a cloudy and showery morning. However, this thing started looking like a quick hitter pretty early on, so I shouldn’t be too disappointed. Oh well. The fall rains aren’t too far away.

I wasn't expecting a great deal, but it managed to be even more of a non-event than I was expecting. Typical for this time of year, I guess.
