In YVR, more rain fell in 4 hours than in an entire normal August. First rain in 26 days.

Let's hope this is a wet August.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Not sure there's anything much better in life than a wet August morning in the middle of a dry spell. Just makes everything feel more fresh. Plants seem to perk up and I don't have to water anything for the day.

Impressive. Some pretty heavy downpours out there this morning.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 9:11 am In YVR, more rain fell in 4 hours than in an entire normal August. First rain in 26 days.
Now let's hope we go another 26 days without precip.

Re: August 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I woke up at 4 am and lay there listening to it rain and enjoying the smell. There's nothing that smells as good as rain after a dry spell.
It over performed here, we had about 2-3 cm...need to get a rain gauge up, I just check out how much is in the previously empty buckets.

Re: August 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Yeah, definitely overperformed for most of the south coast. Widespread 10-20mm with local amounts closer to 30mm.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 11:23 am I woke up at 4 am and lay there listening to it rain and enjoying the smell. Cold front moved thru just over an hour ago with a heavy line of showers and moderate winds. Clearing now.
