This is absolutely insane and scary Tfire, thanks for posting the updates.
Global news at 11p.m. last night said Flood-Hope fire was out of control. The Washington state fires are ridiculously out of control and threatening some power grids.
Here we thought the worst was over for this fire season guess not.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your summer.
I have been hearing from many people that this winter is going to be at cold and snowy one! I haven’t seen any news on this, but I also haven’t looked much as I have been really busy. I thought I would ask all of you for an opinion….. so what do you think? What will this winter bring?

It’s impossible to say with any certainty, but it is highly likely to be another La Niña winter, and such winters do tend to be colder and snowier than normal. That said, it’s probably not going to get as cold as it did last winter in the Lower Mainland.

As Rubus said it's supposed to be another La Nina which is supposed to mean cold and snowy but we've had some pretty mediocre ones. I have heard on some sites, quoting reliable sources like the Farmer's almanac   that it is going to be cold and snowy but I take that with a grain of salt...but maybe I should save that for de-icing my driveway?  Here's hoping :flakey: :flakey:

Visibly smoky here but not too bad. The light is odd coming through all the smoke but a gorgeous sunrise this morning!

Special Air Quality Statement up for the coast. Hazy and smells like smoke out there. The shadows are blue! Easy way to tell if it's smoky or not.
