Actually, I kind of am just because of how rare this is so while I'd prefer NO snow, if it's gonna happen make it a big enough deal to matter and set a record and then be on your way, snow! Make way for spring!
It will melt literally the minute the sun comes out! Not to worry. Warmth is coming.

Almost 25cm on April 7th/8th, 1929 at the old downtown Vancouver station. No hourly observations back then but it likely all fell overnight and early morning.

In more recent times, parts of the lower mainland saw significant April snowfalls (with accumulations) on April 1st, 2009 (morning) and April 14th, 2011 (evening).

April 1st, 1936. Hastings St. between Homer and Richards, Downtown Vancouver. 4.1cm was recorded at the old downtown station that day.

This is some of the most impressive troffing i can recall. #tat and plumetting snow levels considering the mid April sun angles. :clap: :clap:
The continual instability, with tons of virga, day after day makes for some amazng scenery if cloud gazing or sky watching. Smoke a j and u start trippin right out lol :crazy: :crazy:

Where is Jr? Has he quit the forum? :think: :think:
Cant imagine a "snow weather" geek like him would disappear for any other reason :o

It's looking like it will. Looks like Comeback Catnip could be a big winner and catch up to Montys 5cms. Is it the Mundy Park snow belts turn tomorrow? Could this overproduce with flurries..heavy at times in the hills? :shock: :shock:

I recall an early April snowfall while living in Vancouver @ W16th and Larch we had thunder snow April 1972? seem to recall we had at least a couple inches.
I think we talked about that before Tman.
