Snow for the island Sunday night?

What about here (Van etc), you eluded to more slush. Would that be Sunday or a possibility for the next ten days of cold and instability....or a freak, almost Spring, snowstorm?? I think you already mentioned this!
So a bit more transition into Spring but I'm hoping this is it!
Snowing here...who would have thought. Tiny pellets more than flakes but the occasional flake mixed in, not much coming down but more than the 5 flakes I got yesterday.
edit...that was brief, must have had 10 flakes - lol

I'm afraid to say it is likely next winter will be a dud here. Maybe not as ridiculous as November-January were this winter but...
Probably will see a traditional front loaded El Nino winter next year. Bouts of snow and cold in Nov or Dec followed by a Jan/Feb torch.

I was fairly confident on an El Niño next year. So far the models aren’t seeing much warming in the ENSO regions, so hopefully we can avoid one. But models don’t handle El Niño predictions well this time of the year. A La Niña low solar would be nice.

And summer can't come soon enough for me.
Hopefully we have a short transition into spring and enter the dry season early again. Would be nice to break some heat records too.
I can do without any fire and smoke records , cancelled our kootenays hot springs loop trip last August, I guess the trick is to do it earlier in the summer.

We were supposed to get an El Nino this year but the atmosphere never responded. Anything is possible at this point.
I'd like to see a front loader winter. It's a waste to have this pattern in February.
