Quinn Hughes not playing in 4nations, great news for Canucks fans. And what a turn of events after the Miller trade, with the injection and help of fresh new blood, the team suddenly looks like a large dark smelly sardine has just slid off their back. They look faster, bigger, more engaged, and better attention to detail. Chytil looks dynamic, especially gaining the offensive zone, and O'Connor , M Pettersson look like huge upgrades over a can of Heineken and tall bottle of Desharnais. In the absence of Hughes, Hronek and Myers looking all world, and with the emergence of EP25, the defence corps after looking like the weakest link, suddenly looks not just deep but possibly one of the best in the league, and we haven't even seen Mancini in action yet, some think he's the real deal,in which Rangers were reluctant to give up. Looking forward to the remainder of the season after this two week break.

Indeed 😁 they were definitely playing like the were lost in space and now look like they entered the time tunnel back to the 2010/2011 season. I guess they finally woke up and decided to get off Gilligan's Island and leave the skipper behind.

Looks like Crosby is good to go for the 4 Nations.

Will be cool to see him and McDavid finally play together!

Looking like coach putting the two tim bits buddies,Crosby MacKinnon together on one line, but Crosby will play with McDavid on 1st unit power play. Some don't think MacKinnon should be playing wing... but with his speed why not?

Game day!

Looks like they're going with Binnington as the starter.

But is Jagr going to be playing?

He's 53 in 3 day and still playing, beating Gordie Howe as the oldest professional hockey player ever.

Crosby still has it. Shaky goaltending as expected but Binnington locked it down in OT. Still should never be giving away a two goal lead as 3 points turned into 2 points. That could have repercussions down the road if we fail to beat the USA on Saturday.

Gordie Howe Played in the 1974 Summit Series as a 46 year old, and finished with a point per game (3 goals and 4 assists in 7 games), good enough for 4th in scoring.

Unfortunately, unlike the 1972 series, Russia won this one. Th much younger Bobby Hull (age 35) lead tournament in scoring with 9 points in 8 games (7 goals, 2 assists).

Just some interesting hockey trivia.

Was this not the WHA players Glace? although technically still team Canada but no NHL players. It just didn't have the feel of the 72 series l think due to the fact it was already done once.
