Hate to respectfully disagree (kind of), but it’s the what comes first, chicken or egg argument.
Willoughby right now isn’t that much different than Walnut Grove was 20-25 years ago.
You only get transit options these days to neighborhoods that have density. Step #1 was the rapid bus to the 202 street transit loop, and hopefully sooner than later, LRT/Skytrain to Langley as well.
The lesser the density, the less transit options we’ll get.
That said, if the recent downturn in real estate continues, the traffic nightmare currently being experienced will continue for a long, long time, with the current way roads are built out using DCC funds from development projects.
Just my $0.02...
Langley township can do a lot better by getting people out cycling as well. Cycling to transit helps fill the current gap. However, their total cycling budget is $0. The only infrastructure built comes with development leaving gaps making it a dangerous proposition to cycle.
BTW looks like I had a dusting overnight.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Somehow made it down to -3.1C this morning. That was a bit of a surprise. There's a thin coating of ice/slush, I don't think I got even half a cm.

No more snow in the forecast. Models all show a very dry trend associated with a near E-W gradient. Airmass doesnt look too cold as well after the weekend. Could see my +11's soon!

But seriously, I am getting ready for some Nito Approved +17 and sunny, early spring days.
We had our historically cold February. The easterly gradient, back door cold second half of the month kind of killed our snow chances. I say if we aren’t going to see an impactful snow event, I’m ready to move on too.
