The best thing is the models are struggling..looks like another nowcast. Highly unlikely all that precip doesnt come ashore at some point for 6 days. We live on the WETCOAST.

5 days ago it was epic cold = FAIL. Then shortly after, many snows..which have possibly vanished as well.
Now its 6-7 days out to a warm up = ??
Ya ok...i doubt it, although it is likely in this sad season we call winter :bs: :bs:

Yeah, who knows what’s going to happen. At the least, enough cold to support snow to sea level really looks like a lock. Given how torchy this winter has been, that’s progress. Wait and see.
It's called clown range for a reason.

-52.0C at Wekweeti, NWT yesterday. I guarantee that Vancouver will not get that cold, although -5.2C isn't out of the question.

Friday morning looks like the coldest upper levels wise on the 12Z GFS.

My guess is we see a region wide snowstorm for both the Island and Mainland at some point during this arctic blast.

Still a bit of a range for Friday on the ensembles.

All in all, I wouldn't be too disappointed with this, as long as we can score a snowfall or two.

If the models weren't spitting out those crazy temps and raising expectations, I think most would be happy with this?

It looks like a nice week ahead.

Some #dry days for Nito

Some #cold nights

Chances of some #surprises.

Long range can and probably will change.

Looking at the 12Z GFS again, it's not as bad as I thought. It's actually decent.
