It all came down to the track of the low. Pushed warm air into the east Okanagan and Kootenays.

Siberian SSW's usually favour arctic air into our region though right? If so, then #beginningofebruary yet again.

If you were closer to Davis Bay I would have suggested using the wobbly canoe.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 12:54 am Happy Solstice!
Lots of rain in the past couple of days, the creek is over flowing with rushing water but no Sardines I walk the dog and often do a loop over a bridge and back through the creek in my tall boots glad I opted to skip that part today, it would have been a wet slosh home

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
I think Merrit might be even drier. Approx10 -12 years ago for 3 consecutive winters drove through Merrit on the way to Kamloops for my son's hockey tournament. The coq hwy had lots of snow on the south and north side of Merrit but I was always amazed how the town had virtually nothing.Hawk wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 7:21 am I will get an update from the Round Lake area and will post later today. Last i heard, there was about a foot of new at 3pm yesterday and it was coming down all evening as well.
This is massive amount for generally what is a dry precip area where 1-2" is a very common snowfall amount for a storm.
I've done some shore fishing at Round lake back in the late 70's early 80's before the coquihalla was built. I believe there are a string of 5 lakes there on hwy 5a.

I'm in Revelstoke and it's raining heavily at times. Ridiculous.
Between Sicamous and Revy I had heavy snow and heavy rain. Not sure it's so usual late December.

Does WeatherBELL not have the stratosphere available for the Euro ensembles? The parameter is available for the GFS ensembles but I can't find it on the Euro ensembles.
