Those temps are pretty much a standard summer warm stretch by Metro Vancouver standards, but hot by YVR standards.

Those temps are what is modelled for Downtown Vancouver, not YVR.
It's called clown range for a reason.

The part of Hawaii with the fires is drier than Osoyoos and Kamloops annually, and much, much drier in the summer.
