I'll have incubators running at home and in the schools so hopefully it won't knock the power out.

Perhaps lack of interest by now Grumps but your probably correct those jobs are mostly seasonal although it appears they extended it for a month l'm surprised they didn't wait to shut down until Victoria day.
I remember the year 98/99 Cypress stayed open until something like June 99 with a ridiculous base of 1000cm l recall. :o

Let's hope its correct. If we get hot weather instead...could the Fraser flood twice within 7 months?
A repeat of last June's heatwave would cause some serious issues
:hmm: :damn: :damn:
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

Here’s the ECMWF wind gust forecast. I chose this hour because it seemed like it was the highest in terms of strength of gusts for our area

A gradual ramp-up to normal would be nice. Get a gradual melt underway to reduce the snowpack before any real heat wave hits. (I cannot remember a summer without at least one heat wave, so it is safe to assume there will be at least one.)
It's called clown range for a reason.
