I'm trying not get too excited just yet but I'm seeing potential for a long duration cold snap. Could be a very cold February upcoming. :silent: :wave:

If this Polar Vortex split verifies, there will likely be a long period of high latitude blocking. Could give us an epic February. Let's dream. :silent: :wave: :14clown:

I’m just happy to be getting a cold snap with what I call leading snow. Could set up a positive-feedback loop that causes temps to be lower than modelled.

Snow stake on Cypress showing 15cm already. Looks like FL drops pretty quickly Friday night so could make for a light snow Saturday followed by heavy snow running into Monday morning. I am just happy that it looks like we will finally see some excitement. Even though I have enjoyed the last couple of weeks of cool clear weather for walking the dog.
