Looks cold. The good news is this run is very dry (no precip at all through the weekend) which gives us a much needed break from rain.
What a waste of nice, hard-to-get arctic air.
It's called clown range for a reason.

850mb temps look very cold by Friday AM but looks like clouds sneak up to the lower mainland which could limit the possibility for extreme mins.

Agreed, but most of the mainland will probably get at least 2-5cm on Wednesday morning. Euro and GEM seem to have been pretty consistent in developing a surface low along the arctic front.

The model riding ain't over yet, still some wiggle room, need to make a goal line stand and some offensive adjustments .

Yep. Gfs looking colder more suppressed tonight. 18z JMA appeared to have some moisture with the arctic front. Wait to see if the euro continues to trend north or have things stalled in that regard.

High to the north and that low offshore will really crank up the outflow late Wednesday into Thursday. Could see damaging winds in the valley with these kind of gradients.

Happy to see the GFS keeps things suppressed. Hopefully we get some snow with the arctic front on Wednesday and Thursday/Friday stay clear to keep those extreme mins on the table.

00Z GFS does not break down the 500mb pattern through the long range. Keeps the cold in place.
