Just heard thunder and there is accumulating snow a couple of km south of me. Thundersnow!

Massive cell over a big part of W Valley heading NW. If this holds together and intensifies somewhere on the East Island could get hammered :shock:

Also had some mixed rain/snow earlier this afternoon.

Had some decent thunder and lightning come through in the last hour. Didn't fizzle once it hit the City of Vancouver.

So um...can anyone explain the synoptic/mesoscale setup that triggered the storms about 2 hours ago? Came out of nowhere.

Of course, Lake City/SFU area got nothing, again.

EC is forecasting a high of 6c for YVR on Tuesday. If that verifies it would be the coldest daily high temp in April since 2011, when YVR recorded a high of 6.0c on the 4th.
