Outflow is increasing here. Interesting how it’s calm at night and windy during the day here. I wonder if the NE flow is shallower during the night.

The Vancouver weather forecast saw plenty of frigid weather this February, but the spring forecast calls for milder weather ahead.
In fact, The Weather Network calls for above average temperatures across the region this spring. It predicts that the province will see a much milder and gentler pattern heading into March. However, the forecast also notes that these mild temperatures will at times be interrupted by, “periods of cooler and unsettled weather.â€Â
As a result of these warm temperatures, as well as periods of rain, the forecast also notes that there will be be a heightened threat of flooding.
“It looks like a furious finish to winter east of the Rockies with some wild winter weather during early March. However, later in March we expect an abrupt flip in the weather pattern,†said Chris Scott, Chief Meteorologist with The Weather Network.
“This will bring an extended period of mild spring weather about a month earlier than last year. However, it is important to remember that spring is a tumultuous season, and this year will be no exception with chilly interruptions to the warmer weather well into May.â€Â
While the majority of the province will see relatively normal level of precipitation, the forecast calls for greater rainfall accumulations for coastal regions north of Vancouver Island.
The forecast also notes that greater snowfall accumulations from the winter will make for excellent spring ski conditions.
