Re: November 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Had a terrifying thought...but is this not 2014/15 all over again? Dry arctic air ass, err mass in late November, almost to the day. Blobby, neutral enso. A fairly dry fall. Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum Flakey!Flakey wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2019 10:46 pm Winds definitely picked up for the dog walk tonight, I think brisk is the correct word as still not too cold. Like every year I have followed these forums long term models give & then take away, it is the nature of the beast. I'm sure like every other year winter cancelled / no snow for mountains postings will be coming fast and furious. Hound has it correct anything over 3 days in the PNW seems to be guessing. Hopefully we get enough region wide winter events to keep everybody happy.

Re: November 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Interesting drive from South Surrey to North Surrey.
Started out at 24th & 160th and it was +2, got down to the farmlands and all the way across Cloverdale up 168th st the temp was +4, then when I got to Fleetwood at 160th and Fraser Hwy it was +5. When I got home at 160th and 108 Ave, the temp was down to +3. No wind in South or North Surrey, well, light breeze, but on the farm lands there was a good wind blowing, enough to make the traffic lights bounce around lightly.
Now, currently +3.3
Dewpoint -7
Light breeze.
Humidity 47% (Drying out nicely)!

Thinking the same, Could be in for a dry winter but just my opinion.
Also power outages being reported
JUST IN: Thousands of Customers across the Lower Mainland don't have power right now. A downed tree has knocked out power for more than 6,600 customers in Burnaby, Coquitlam, Langley and Maple Ridge.
All about them Cowboys !!!

I agree, it's give and take and often you don't know until the time...at least in my area, lots of times I'm 'promised' snow and it doesn't come, or it comes unexpectedly followed rapidly by a snowfall warning from EC. Can't really blame them for not getting it right, I can drive 2 minutes and find rain, when I have snow or 10 minutes and it's snowing when I have high cloud and no precip. Lots of little microclimates up here.
