Come to think of it , I had 4 odd encounters with nhl players many years ago, I might've already mentioned them. Snepts&Sedlbauer is one, 2nd- My kids went to same school as Ryan Walter's kids ,when I went to pick up my daughter after school one day ,some kids thought I was the one who was the nhl hockey player, while Ryan Walter stood close by. 3rd- I was at Calgary Airport after landing from Montreal, waiting for my luggage ,when Gino Odjick comes up to me and starts asking questions about the Montreal flight in a very panicky tone,as he was looking for his wife. 4th- I went to the same high-school(Eric Hamber) as Mark Taylor, Cyclone Taylor's grandson, future player for the flyers,he was one grade above me. As you know in PE we used to have square dancing so I happen to hook up with his girlfriend a couple of times Sq dancing ,I guess he heard about it and every time I saw him in the hallway he'd give me the glare ,and he might've said Stay away from my Girl! . Honorable mention goes to Dave Hindmarch although I never met him but i did play against him in Midget,he was captain of Point Grey, pretty solid looking player. He went on to play in nhl,I think Calgary, not sure if you remember but he's the one who broke both his legs sliding into the goalposts, and that is when the NHL decided they had to do something about the rigid posts and make them more flexible.

Those are some wicked memories Skipper bud my only claim to fame was the winter we moved out to Coquitlam North Rd. and Cottonwood Dr. in 68/69 l didn't realize that one of my friends l was playing with in the complex was John Ferguson's son.
As you know he was the Habs tough guy his family wife son and daughter lived in our building.
We moved by March down to Kitsilano so l don't recall seeing their father John around l guess he must have stayed in Montreal during the season. l had no idea that was his family until my mom mentioned it after we had moved. Back then l wasn't interested in hockey until the Cannots entered the league the following year.
I also remember a friend of mine attended the same church as Ryan Walter and he would be at the men's breakfast sometimes my friend said he was the most kind man he met this was in Coquitlam Skipper Grumps so they must have lived out that way Ryan was still playing for them then early 90's perhaps.

10-0 , nice round number
I remember last year during pre-season when Calgary came to town and had mostly rookies, same as canucks did today, but Calgary actually won
The more they change the more they stay the same? Probably just a minor setback as it looks like all the vets came back from summer in excellent shape.
We'll see...

Depends on what they were talking about, there were 2 games that night, one in each city, the score in Calgary was 6-0. All I'm saying is flames can with a bunch of rookies and canucks can't.

Crazy no mask era. Nice shot though.
I’m pretty sure this one was taken in 1970 at MLG’s. I’ll leave that to the experts to figure out any guesses Glace.?

Yes the Oil pans were not playing Drysuckle or McFart but still if the Knucklenuts dress a line up like that, they seem much improved.
5-2 final Captian Q leads the way.
