Temp down to 6.5, unreal! Cut in half from an hour ago!
Pressure at 991
991 is pretty low. It’s hard to know every areas microclimate but you could get another westerly surge as pressures rise.

Victoria Gonzales is gusting to 105 now. So there is still plenty of pressure difference to work with.

Is this better then the Dec/18 wind storm that took out the White Rock pier?

This is less severe than that. I believe that one was closer to 980mb at landfall.

And of course every system has a different effect on different areas. This one could be worse in different areas then the Dec/18 storm was.

EC dropped the ball on this one. A deepening low, perahaps 985mb, moving directly to your north is a recipe for strong winds. Maybe they didn’t believe the Euro

Absolutely. My guess is the Fraser valley could be the hardest hit by outages from this one.

Absolutely l recall that one we had gusty winds, but this seems stronger IMO.

And l'm more sheltered in south Sardis then say going north toward the freeway. I bet it's just howling in Yarrow. The winds probably bouncing off the hills to my SW into my area.

Pressure rising now.
My silly little weather forecaster forecast all the weather tonight correct. I am shocked!
Well, it seems to reflect the conditions, but they are correct. Accurite from Costco with a colour screen.
