What the? I've been hoodwinked by EC. I just discovered that on their app South Surrey uses White Rock's weather staion ; Vancouver , Richmond, and Delta uses YVR ; Langley,Mission, and Abbotsford uses YXX ; Surrey and Coquitlam uses Pitt Meadows ; North Delta uses Burns Bog ; Chilliwack uses Agassiz ; Sardis uses Cultas Lake; Sechelt uses Nanaimo ...ok I'm joking on the last one miss creeker but not on the others. I should've been more suspicious before when I saw the same temps and dp for those areas .
Actually Global weather quite often will show Cultus Lake as Chilliwack's reading that's absolutely insane and goes to show the state of our weather stations in the Lower Mainland.
E.C. or NAV Canada can't even operate a station out of Chilliwack airport.
And it just get's worse from there throughout the Lower Mainland very poor indeed.
If you ever watch Global weather out of Calgary or Edmonton at least they have actual readings from various locations throughout those cities. Ours do not correlate with the areas there all out of sync.

Where's Hawk flying over the Keremeos Creek fire that one's out of control all of Keremeos being evacuated. Btw if you click on Point Atkinson it shows Sechelt readings l believe.

I know Tman's pet peeve is YVR being vancouver's official weather station but Surrey using Pitt Meadows WS ranks right up there considering how big Surrey is..ridiculous.

It all got lumped like that skipper when they divided up metro Vancouver into forecast zones. Remember last winter when they issued a snowfall warning for metro Van but not all the forecast zones. eventually they included all zones. l stopped checking E.C. sites in Metro Van just YVR, YXX, and Agassiz as well as Hope for locally and personal stations around the Lower Mainland.

l guess l got use to never ending dry and toasty temps the last few summers outside of last weeks almost endless heat hump that's been it.
Any warm weather we've had falls apart after 3 to 5 day's.
