965mb. Probably overdone. But certainly a pattern where I would expect some type of low pressure development

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
I would be worried about the firehose shifting further north if we see any rapid cyclogenesis in the models. Mount Washington gets burried.
500mb shows decent progression although fuzzy on any jet consolidation once we see amplification. 850mb temps appear to show weak splitting. Dry and cold?

Mt Washington needs it. Just a 25cm base there.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 9:48 am I would be worried about the firehose shifting further north if we see any rapid cyclogenesis in the models. Mount Washington gets burried.

Too soon to say anything with certainty, but this has felt like a season that may feature some extended dry cold snaps.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
50-100cm as it stands. Too far north? Maybe negative amounts since it will be all rain.
Looks like a really mild storm along the entire coast. You usually see a pocket of cold air with heavy snow on the NE of these things but there is no source or cold air in the region to tap into.

Re: December 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
.
Signals are there for a potential snowy cold pattern. Little bit too much energy behind the NPAC ridge. Kona low a bit weak too but pattern evolution showing potential in the 7-10 day period.

Awfully random choice of date ranges...Canada Goose wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 10:44 am https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EL7RZhjWsAA-eah.jpg:large
Looks like 1965-1984 was a particularly bad period for White Christmases on the south coast. Who knew, or who would even think to check such a random span of time.
