Dead calm here, we'll be next.
The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

It is only 5 degrees here we do not usually warm up like everyone else, absolutely no wind but HOLY RAIN! I mean we are used to rain in Squamish but holy I can hear the river by my place from inside my house tonight! Keeping my fingers crossed for some snow chances sometime soon but after reading some peoples comments I am very skeptical now. But like I said I have zero clue what any of the maps mean so I will keep reading all your comments for updates

Toasty warm here too at 10.3. I was hesitating to go out and do final chores because it's downpouring rain and windy and there's nothing worse than having cold rain blown at you but got out there and it's quite pleasant...for blowing rain.

I saw a picture of snow in Gold River about 2 hours ago

Yeah looks like 850mb temps dropped below -20c during the December 1990 event.

Possibly closer to -22c during the initial arctic blast on Dec 19/20th, 1990...

Looks like just about -20c with the second push of arctic air on Dec 29th, 1990:

Checked Dec 96 too and it appears you're right. 850mb temps only dropped to around -17c.

850mb temps dipped to -20c on December 20th, 1998.

Don't really see much arctic air anywhere in BC or AB in that frame.
