To the west, the modified arctic front looks to be on a line between Quadra Island and Britannia beach.

Went out and discovered while I was working away at home today I was apparently almost nuked for a few hours. Thinking got nearly 15 new cm through the day. Snowed very heavy from 2 to 6 and then light ish. Still light snow now.

From my walk. Starting to feel like a ski resort up here. Really only noticeable after Gaglardi though.

It's more or less over in my neck of the woods. Total of 3.5 cm in the PM today, so that's 4.5 for the day and 54 for the season.

appears Mr. Hill top is correct l recall driving up the hill there when l lived up on Austin heights back in the early 90's and observing over 30cm of snow, the kids loved playing in the snow up there.
We probably would have half that amount maybe 10cm.

Quick peek at the latest radar, moisture is moving from west to east, based on that analysis once this clears the valley l would assume Arctic air to be pulled further out westward into Metro Vancouver.

Measured 4.5cm total for the day @ the official pond in south Sardis -7c light snow, blowing snow and gusty NE outflow.
