Thought it might be just since midnight, since Coquitlam almost always gets more than MBY. Up to 112 mm storm total here, and forecast is for it to rain all day and into tomorrow morning. About 15 mm in the last hour alone. This is surreal.

All the records in 24 h, 12 h, 6 h and 2 h are shattered in Coquitlam. The record in 48 h will follow.
Max 23.5 mm in 1 h, only surpassed by the exceptional storm of Sept. 2014 (28 mm/1 h).

seemed to have topped out at 42mm. The heaviest win and rain was about 4am.

The Coquitlam River at Port Coquitlam has never been so high since records began in 1975.
Discharge: 228 m3/s (previous record: 215 m3/s in 2007).

I drove over it this morning..it looked very high
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for
..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing?
