Similkameen is really bad..especially in wet years. I would say most years are bad..this year of course has been brutal. Try some small lake between ~tulameen and Pennask summit area. Lots to pick from. The more forested, the worser it is
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

Oh , well if that's the case I would never own a cabin in the Similkameenz.

Closest to your area probably Rampart Lake, don't remember it being too bad. My worst mosqitoe experience in BC probably whistler/Pemberton area , Joffre lake and Birkenhead lake many years ago. For outside the province visiting Edmonton has always been bad. But my worst experience might have been some campground in Ontario when travelling across Canada on the way back to Vancouver in the 70's. Just for one night but mosquitoes chased us outta there by 3am, we were happy to get back on the road with no sleep
By gosh Gimpers we happen to have a family video of your trip home.

Beautiful photos. The moon was so bright tonight and not even full.

I like that we're back to cool temps after a two day summer warm up. :)

Hot day today, Sechelt got well above 20 c, topping out at 20.4c   currently 16.2

EC calling for 26 tomorrow and 24 Tuesday.

Eggcellent shot Ms. Minisummercreeks, those trees 🌳 appear to be the frame for your outstanding shots. Yes l notice when l take a moon shot when it's dark the moon looks full but like with your shot less darkness you can see the moon is not full. It must be light the shutter is letting in on my cell camera. It's a Galaxy S21 l'm disappointed with zoom shots way to blurry, and the night shots.

I'm assuming the 30c for the Abby/Chilliwack area for the next couple of days can only be called a cheap heat chump Gumps. :wtf: it's not even worth sweating over.
It's currently 16c @ the pond in south Sardis and mostly clear.
I' sure the two melting popsicles Bones and Hound may appear to remind it's a tad hot. 🔥

I would have thought that August would have been settled as being hotter and drier than normal, but right now the CFS Monthly is showing temps will be normal next month. Some days it's showing it will be wetter and cooler than normal next month.

Nice! Average is good enough.
We have a brief 2 day warm up now, followed by more "average" temps again
