This is also a good point. The streets and sidewalks will be fine after Sundays rain
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

Long term snowpack!

I wonder how much will survive the upcoming rain and snow killing S winds though...

EC will update at 4pm. My guess is this mornings forecast was done by a warm bias member that was still drunk, maybe even still drinking

Stop insinuating it was me. I would have added a +12C by Monday morning.

If the snow and ice stick around for another couple weeks, will Vancouver have another #SaltCrisis?

Protect the snow piles at all cost. Hide the salt!

Fraser River update. 1/4

Ice is still getting thicker in the already frozen portion of the river in NE Surrey/Langley/Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge. Water flow looks to have stopped in other areas as well as the river begins to freeze, with higher concentrations of ice chunks/floes.

Imo, this is at least the most frozen and most ice chunks/floes on the river though the lower mainland since December 2008. I'd go as far as saying maybe since January 1993.
