We had arctic air entrenched at the surface in advance of that snowstorm.

The high/low on the 23rd was -2.3c/-11.7c at YVR. No way we see that kind of cold with what's shown on the 18z GFS.

True. But still lots of runs and model riding to go. The Ensembles still show solid amplification so its not game over yet. Worst case scenario is likely very cold onshore flow with lots of low elevation snow chances. I'll take that but wouldn't mind at least one or two days of legit cold.

Wind warning for parts of Metro Vancouver. Personally, after looking at the 18Z Euro, I think this could end up to be much more of a region wide windstorm effecting the Fraser Valley as well. Wouldn't surprise me to see wind warnings extended to other regions later tonight. :thumbup:
