In YVR, this first decade of July is the coldest since... 2009!
Everybody knows what happened next. We can keep hope.
Moreover, with 382.8mm of rain (snow not included) this is the driest first six months of the year in YVR since 1985 (357.6mm) [0mm in July 1985!].

For YVR to hit 30C is a fluke at the best of times. It so rarely happens that it doesn't mean anything. All it means is that there was a perfect confluence of factors on that particular day.
In contrast, Abbotsford hit 30C a total of 23 times last year, even though they average only 8.7 times per year (1981-2000).

Ya I remember i was a kid but I still remember how it was sunny everyday, but cold. Wouldn't it be something if it happened again this year? Especially after the frigid February we had and to have another dry cold month at opposite ends of the calendar year would be awesome!
