Actually mid July works for me these May to September non stop heat dome summers is enough for one year.
However with our awesome wetcoast luck it'll be a mid July to October heat fest. here's a pic l was able to poach showing how much snow remains on Mt. Baker and surrounding mountains.

That would be absolutely insane for Island residents Dogbone,
I was only 5 at the time of the 64 Anchorage earthquake that caused the Alberni valley event it wasn't a tsunami per say but the water was pulled out of the Alberni inlet revealing the bottom in spots and then began to come back in rising higher and higher l had relatives in Port Alberni that went through that event.
There are photos on line from the flooding an absolutely insane event.

Not really. We did have a decent ~5 day stretch in mid-January with a ton of Arctic air in the interior trickling out to the coast with temps well below freezing accompanied by flurries and cold wind chills for a few days. Valley did pretty well on the snow and cold side but it wasn't as impressive in Metro Vancouver. Overall it was a milder version of the mid January 2020 event.

We got a good dump that day here in Coquitlam. 20cm+ IMBY if I remember correctly. 30cm+ up the hill at Mundy park and even more across upper Westwood plateau. Snowed a bit more the day after too and didn't warm up a ton over the next few days so we had a white Christmas.
