The decrease from 1953 to the mid 2000's does seem statistically significant. That's roughly a 5% drop on both charts.

What really surprises me is that the relative humidity is higher in the west kootenays than the south coast during the winter months. Same goes for the central interior (Prince George to Smithers area), at least in November.

It's a very oceanic climate, that doesn't surprise me.

It's interesting, Environment Canada (ECCC) thinks Winnipeg has hotter summers than Kamloops (in terms of how hot it feels), but no one else does.

Both ECCC and the Australians think Vancouver has hotter summers than Lethbridge, but the US disagrees. The Apparent Temperature that Australia uses takes into account the wind speed, so that subtracts from the humidity.

Of the places with with hourly data, Osoyoos is the hottest place in the interior. I've been trying to get someone in Spence's Bridge to install a weather station, but no luck yet.

Here are the 6 hottest weather stations in BC (in summer). Why is Penticton warmer than Osoyoos in December and January, you ask? Well, because of some moderation by the lakes on either side of Penticton (Okanagan and Skaha).
