The radar is weird. Shows dark green and yellow over me, yet it is halfheartedly dripping mixed with a little slush.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 5:58 pm Yenno looking at radar I wouldn't exactly say it's overestimating precip rates...I have a feeling this will outdo a couple nights ago for many spots, especially western.

Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Iunno radar still looks juicy and while it's a little too far west ATM it's predicted to slowly pivot inland. I still think someone will get something out of this in the LM.

If I get another slushy cm or two, I will consider myself lucky. Not really expecting to get even that.

Really? I don't see yellow over us at all on EC radar. It's all just a little bit west of us.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 6:34 pm The radar is weird. Shows dark green and yellow over me, yet it is halfheartedly dripping mixed with a little slush.

Turning the radar layer off, the heavier stuff does seem to be just missing me. You should be scoring right now if it is correct, though. You are west of QE Park, aren’t you?VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 6:35 pm Really? I don't see yellow over us at all on EC radar. It's all just a little bit west of us.

Looks like the low is sitting in the strait between Vancouver and Nanaimo based on the flow of those bands.

The circulation will bring colder air behind this thing. Right now it's a bit too warm to bring sticking snows down to below 300m.

Heavier precip is here, but it is of the liquid kind.

The low is tracking NNE. Just missed a snowfall by 50km.
Should be good for Squamish
