Quite a contrast... about 1/10th of that here. Rain has definitely been concentrated south of the 49th.

Yikes is right. I personally stay away from pets for fear of that type of scenario. My daughter has dog insurance but not sure how good it is if faced with a similar situation.

Yes she is. But its one of those things where the costs kept creeping up rather than getting the bill all at once. It was looking lower at first. But if she makes it through I would do it again in a second. She's not just a pet, we've worked her into this farm and she herds sheep and chickens, barks at coyotes and takes her role very seriously. She's one of the smartest dogs I've ever seen, although that is normal for an aussie shepherd. She can learn people's names in like 2 minutes.

Speaking of the farm, this amount of mud and misery is unprecedented since I moved here. Piles standing water everywhere. Our creek is just blasting. The sheep are livid at us. I wish I could take some pictures but taking pictures in a storm always goes badly. And the misery of this pattern is just beginning. Unbelievable.

Is the purpose of it to run the chairlift faster than a regular fixed grip quad?

Yes, and some on the American Forum are already starting to post confidently about 50 cm of snow being a sure thing because of that.

Not sure. They don't actually run it that fast, but I think they just want to preserve powder on good days and those are the only days I usually go. I bet it could run pretty fast if they wanted.

PortKells wrote: Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:11 pm Thanks man. Its just money. We'll earn it back. The scary part is her spinal surgery on Monday. If we've spent over 20 k on her care and something still goes wrong, that's going to be a tough pill to swallow. But im staying optimistic. Nothing much more we can do at the moment.

Maybe the year was just truly cursed. We'll have to see if things turn around in this new year. It certainly hasn't on the weather front, it is fricking gross out there.
I will pray for her.

Today's weather really got to me.

I usually like rainy days, but it feels like spring already.
