It's a beautiful day today. +7 25 km away at Tatlayoko Lake and -3'30 km the other direction at Puntzi Mountain. A 10° difference between these two stations is quite common.
I have not been online much checking the weather because I'm dealing this a stressful family situation.
A long story short, this might be the last time we are here to see this scene since the place is going up for sale...

Absolutely insane X9 solar flare inbound in 2017 we had an X7 flare.
Go to www.space.com for the latest on this ridiculous and unprecedented solar flare. We reached an overnight low of 5c this morning @ the pond in south Sardis. It's too bad if it's cloudy tonight we'll miss some excellent Aurora's.

That one event we had earlier this year was crazy. That would be awesome if we could match or surpass it.

Lots of nice looking graphics coming out recently for the upcoming winter. Of course we'll all have to wait and see what unfolds.

Whoa...all the cold signs are there with all these long term LN forecasts
Nito will be happy with 2c rain this winter..hey at least its rain instead of shovelling snow all winter long with the potential for one of the most brutal winters we have seen in our lifetime

Sorry to hear you might be forced to sell or whatever the situation is.
It basically comes down to the MIL and her sister not getting along at all and thinking the other one is trying to sell the ranch behind their back. Well, the sister and her husband are putting the ranch up for sale this week. For like twice what it's worth, so maybe it's still going to stay in the family for awhile yet. LOL.
At least my mom lives out there. And my dad still has his trapline (though he hasn't trapped since 1986).
