High of 7 in Abbotsford tomorrow according to EC. that’s quite a jump from the 2 they predicted just yesterday. What the heck had to change from 13 hours ago I wonder. One model run wouldn’t give them that much confidence would it? Anyway it’s made me lose interest in seeing any more decent snow this week.

Nature: change my mind.

The extended outlook is computer generated Mr. Hill Top, l wouldn't worry about it, it was always forecasted to warm up by Sunday.
I wish they would do away with an extended outlook that goes out to 7 day's. Growing up an outlook would be the 3rd day of the forecast period.
This extra 4 day outlook can't be trusted.

Cmon get up buttees..i need some support here :shifty:
EC has Hope warming up to +3c by Sunday night. My guess is maybe Monday sometime it will crack +0c. Maybe. We will see. This is also a weak Warm Front push, not super mild. May just stay snow there for most of the week like Squamish.
Wintergirl will be praying and wishing for a ridge all week instead of snow :tiredos: :tiredos:
And here it is..December 2024 all snow geeks have been waiting for :silent: ..with the LR weather "charts" calling for a cold and snowy month. Where's the troffing? :silent: :silent:

Ya, EC...that forecast 5-10cms when we got buried with 15-25cm instead. Daaaaaa. They are good, but often fail too. GFS is golden rn

Abby often temp spikes with S winds..so there will probably be a strong push Sunday for a bit. But then Monday it cools right off again. Snow levels are staying low most of the week based on many models so you should do well this week PMan. Like snow levels look to be around 500 to 2000 feet most of the week. Ask Nito

EC shits the bed, wuuuuuut!?

yeah that is true. TWN is slightly better but overall every media outlet is trending milder here on out. They can’t all be wrong oh wait.

Maybe the tweeters will wake up from their hangovers soon and post something.

Wow, you guys aren't kidding. Lows above freezing on Monday and Tuesday with rain. I'll admit I haven't been following the models very closely; I just look at what you guys post. But that forecast seems like quite the shift based on what I've seen.

Currently -7.2C after a low of -8.3C.

Yeah who knows Abby sr. the 06z GFS later in the period looks inversion like typical January stuff. This week l wasn't convinced something seems out of sync maybe just a bad model run, that's why l say never look at the extended beyond day 3. IMO

It will be fine...cool and wet at worst. 925s cool right back Monday..looks like snow right Nito? :x :x
EC still has up to 10cms at "higher levels" in the Vanc forecast thru to Sunday morning..then goes to relatively bommy showers/rain for the next 3 days.  Seems weird to warm up so much. Not sure what they are looking at. Maybe they are right..or wrong?

Get up Nito we need your analysis here. We know the 925's will be 1-2c. But what about Monday+?

Also, no sign of WP's update is usually not a good thing either

Abby temps will spike like usual due to those S winds.

But what if we get warm snow instead in many areas instead of cold rain. Is that possible Nito? 925s at 1-2c but surface temps cold enough for wet snow still?

I believe someplace in the interior not that far east gets lots of snow and cold in the winter. One of our posters once told us about it. Can you remember where it was?
