That would be epic...but I dont know how they get their monthly forecasts so far in advance when forecasts lose reliability after 5 days.

PortKells wrote: Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:43 am Sorry t3. This heat really gets to me. I dont really understand it...its like when the temperature goes above 25C I turn into the hyde version of myself, lol. I can kind of understand the grimace on people's faces when it gets cold in the winter, except my grimace is for the polar opposite reason.

I do think it's good to have perspective on how many stinking hot summers weve seen in recent years. And this one hasn't been bad at all for heat lovers, in my opinion. We've had our heat. I'd like to see some variation here to end off the summer - some ridging, some troughing some in between.
I hate the heat as well, Anything over 23c I just dislike being outside. Let alone 30c I don't understand how people enjoy it, I just feel so uncomfortable in that heat and get dehydrated so quick and just feel sick.

Me three. Although, I don't get sick because of it or anything like that. I just don't find it enjoyable. I would much prefer the climate of the North coast of BC. I still wouldn't move though. ;)

Yeah it's weird the heat just makes me sick and it's just not fun or enjoyable. When I go to the beach I need shade or I'll wait till evening time to go haha.

I dont get sick but get tired and frankly my brain seems to slow down even more than usual, an impressive feat.

I cant imagine living in an actual hot climate, like kelowna summers but 10 months of the year.

I love the heat. Adds variability to our otherwise mundane temperate climate. Same goes for arctic blasts in the winter.

Yes, bring in it until September! 8-)
This afternoon, I'll go for another run in the (moderate) heat. Love it.

I used to love the heat. I could spend all day in the sun. However, now, like others, I get sick in the heat. I find my tolerance is about 25c

Summer mundanity is the spice of life! Part of my problem now is living on a farm and having endless things to do, but no willingness to get out in the hot sun and make it happen. I have endless respect for real farm workers spending 12 hours straight out there.

Two questions:

EC is calling for rain tonight, is it likely to happen?

EC Sechelt weather station has been down since July 29. Have sent an email to EC to find out when it'll be back.

Yes, a few bands of rain will move through the region late tonight into tomorrow morning before clearing in the afternoon. Probably 2-10mm depending on location.

Today was really pleasant with dews between 10-13C for most of the Vancouver area.

Really nice day!
It always snows in December in the Kootenays
