Day 5 to Day 12.5

Very healthy looking North Pacific blocking. This is what we want to see for higher chances of sustained cold and potential for a reload down the line if we do end up seeing an initial cold snap beginning next weekend.

06z GFS. Similar to the 00z overall with modified arctic air reaching the south coast by Saturday night. Favourable blocking holds the arctic air in the north and interior rather than sliding to the east quickly, resulting in a cold pool developing over the week. Surface temps across the South Coast pretty much remain sub-zero for the whole week.
