Cold last night. Dropped to -5.3C. I had to put some extra wood in the fire when I got up to let the dogs out.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Winds kept the temp up all night. Low of 0.4C. Currently 4.1C but feels much colder with the NE winds. Very dry again... dewpoint hovering around -15C.

Checking some numbers for this March...looks like the coldest readings since the early/mid March event in 2009.
Lowest temp @ YVR with that event was -5.9C on the 11th. High of only 2.3C on the 10th with full sunshine too. And that was after 5cm of snow fell on the 9th.
That event capped off an already great winter. We had snowcover for three straight months; from mid Dec thru mid March.
