Re: May 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
It was a good winter. December '71 was fairly cold and quite snowy here, with a notable arctic blast towards the end of the month around Christmas. 3rd snowiest December on record at YVR. Had a decent amount of snow in January '72(much less than December, however), and another notable arctic blast at the end of the month.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 9:21 pm Yeah l thought 1972 was bad Tflood l referenced that year yesteday.

Spring '72 was cool and wet, like this one so far. April 1972 was very cold, even moreso than this past month (by average mean temp) with several brushes of minor low elevation snows.
'71-72 was a moderate La Nina as well, IIRC.

Re: May 2022 Forecasts and Discussions
Ah yes we talked about that amazing winter before Tbud living up on 49th and Fraser that winter a white Christmas waking up to snowfalling then very cold settled in just after l remember hearing there was skating on Trout lake. That December in general your right was very cold l remember a snowfall early December.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 12:26 am It was a good winter. April 72 we moved to Point Grey and the early April thunder snow event l remember,
