Okay, I don't know what the rules are in Saskatchewan, but I personally don't follow them. a few years ago it was 30C in BC in April, and there's no way I was keeping my winter tires on until April 30th! They have since changed the rule to March 31st, but still, March can be warm too, so screw 'em, it should be based on the weather year to year not some hard and fast date every year.

When you putting your winters on? I made an appointment for next week but I'm not sure if that is a good idea till around Nov 1. It will be cold enough here next week but...barely.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

This morning was the coldest morning since March in Sparwood. Coldest since April 12th for Kelowna. Well below freezing in the Okanagan today, and the first frost since April.

The fresh mountain snow was visible on my ride into work this morning. There also was some on Golden Ears as well as these higher mountain up Indian Arm. Meslilloet Mountain is in the centre and the Mamquam glacier on the far left is visible from the Alex Fraser.
