This is what happened many times in the past too (70s, 80s, 90s). As I mentioned yesterday, I doubt the ice was >6" thick on lost lagoon in early January 1974 (go through the old data and check the temps from this period) but there's footage of kids skating on it nonetheless.
Ya, there's the thickness the city is comfortable with and then there's the thickness that actually supports weight. the city's lawyers are probably not comfortable with people on it at any thickness

Yeah, although tons of practice time with Brucey is good, yeah how about that Connor Bedard kid from North Van too.

9" is not a foot. The only areas I see that are clearly shaded in the 12"+ colors are in the mountains.

Still, 9" is over twice what that model was calling for not that long ago.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Snow is not done at the last frame but ok. Also higher snow ratio. 10"-11" to be precise

Stormer that's already the Kuchera map so the ratios should be accounted for. Plus at that rate of snow it'll probably compact. I'd still say the upper bound is 8" and even that'd be a shock.

I am not saying will snow that much, just what the model is showing. Also models usually underestimate QPF. We squeeze a cm. snow not that long ago with models not showing it.
