Leave early give plenty of time for sailing, unless the ferry gets stuck in the snow on the water, oh wait no the models make it look like there's snow on the water.Pumpkin Seed wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 12:43 pm My daughter will be taking the ferry to Victoria tomorrow morning. I do worry about the road condition and will BC ferry cancel the service if too much snow, say 10-15cm?

The 7th annual snowfall contest is canceled due to no snow this winter.

Re: December 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
Looks like people are walking on trout lake despite the "warning: thin ice signs" put up by the city.
This is what happened many times in the past too (70s, 80s, 90s). As I mentioned yesterday, I doubt the ice was >6" thick on lost lagoon in early January 1974 (go through the old data and check the temps from this period) but there's footage of kids skating on it nonetheless.

I was mildly surprised when you reported your low temp.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Catnip recorded a low of -11.4c, so almost the same as me. Guess the tri cities were in the banana belt last night.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:00 pm I was mildly surprised when you reported your low temp.

World juniors got cancelled, I either expect the Canucks to be blazing hot tonight or have a slow start after the break!SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 12:40 pm Right after Bruce there it is over the Ducks tonight Granddaddy, unoless they postpone it.
